Well, I'm pretty old and slow, so I appreciate your understanding and patience.

Re: [GROUP] Harper's Young People, Issue 19 - lt

Very sorry but someone else has to take my chapters, the charger on my laptop is broken , I'm writing on my cellphone now, and I am and have been at a place where no such stores are close by. In light of this, I have set Section 4 as PL OK, and have done a little editing myself where no re-recordin...

Interesting book. And I have a special love of footnotes. :help: So, a MW will show up shortly.
Ah, good, as I'm one of those people who is willing to read all the footnotes!

Thanks for MCing.

Re: [SOLO] Clever Hans by Oskar Pfungst

Yeah, some of these chapters are very long. Chapter V, for example, has about 24,000 words (or least it does when you include the mammoth footnotes. Seriously, look at the original book, some of these footnotes are over two pages long !). But I've dealt with long sections before. Heck, I've done a s...

KevinS, you seem to be taking this very personally. Your comment is not what made me decide to cancel the project.

Re: How to deal with italics used for highlighting

Thanks for all the advice. I've realized what I should do: forget the whole thing. This is just a doomed project, and is unsuitable for an audio format. Good Lord, no! I'll help if you drop the exercises. I just couldn't do them. Or you could do the exercises and I'll do some of the other text. Do ...

Re: [SOLO] Grammar of the English Language by Evan Daniel - dc

I've found the ideal solution to my problem: just not record the book. I've given this some thought, and realized this just isn't a book that is suitable for an audio format. As well as these italics, there are also a lot of tables, and long lists of words. It's also going to be unbelievably dull fo...
