Re: [MED]War Surgery From Firing Line to Base- Basil Hughes
Dear B.T., Jo, and Silverquill, I just recorded Section 9 (Chapter 6, part 2) and it came in at 1 hour and twenty minutes, so it's going to have to be split in two. Sorry! I will split it and start editing and upload it when the MW is adjusted. This is going to mess up the succeeding sections, of c...

Ch 23 - Conditions Particular to Airmen
As far as I can judge, they will fit nicely into one section each.
Thanks!
Ironically, I just saw an Ava Gardner movie, Night of the Iguana. One of my favs.

PDF questions
Does anyone know of a way to unlock a public domain PDF file in order to convert it to a Txt file? Is there something like an optical-scan program that can do this? For some reason, Google Books no longer makes Txt versions of PD books available on their site.

Re: ~[MED]War Surgery From Firing Line to Base- Basil Hughes
Jo, thanks for the clarification. Silverquill, I did a second search on this book and couldn't find a way of making it easier for readers to count words, which is something I've never found useful personally. I generally go by pagination or kb size for short stories like the the sci-fi 'books' on PG...

Re: ~[MED]War Surgery From Firing Line to Base- Basil Hughes
I am ready to start recording my assigned Section 7 (in the text "Chapter 6: Wound Infections Continued"), but unsplit, it will exceed the upload maximum as it comprises 40 pages of small print. I might just start to record the first half anyway but wait to upload it until directed how by...

Added to the MW. If you need to split the reading into two parts -- like an hour each -- please tell us so we can adjust the MW.pnagami wrote:Section 7: Wounds Infections Part II please.

Re: ~[MED]War Surgery From Firing Line to Base- Basil Hughes
Thank you, but do you want Section 7 (Wounds II) or Chapter 7? We're having to split up some of the longer chapterspnagami wrote:I would like to read Section 7, if possible.
Thanks,

P.S.

Re: ~[MED]War Surgery From Firing Line to Base- Basil Hughes
I agree about designating section numbers in the presentation. I adjusted the directions for the template. I've added your name to the MW for Chapters 10 & 20. Have you tried opening up the chapters via text format on Hathi or Google Books? Not sure if you can d/l a full text version. Archive on...
