Re: Am I allowed to constructively critique a reader?
Hah, well it looks like I don't have the right permission to edit the Guidelines For Proof Listeners or Forum Policies wiki pages.
I did add a "See Also" section at the bottom of the Thanking a Reader. Maybe an admin can make similar changes to the other two pages.

Re: Am I allowed to constructively critique a reader?
Oerps. i totally missed that all these links were posted previously in this exact thread. I take back my clandestine suggestion. As an aside, i think maybe these wiki articles (PL guidelines, thanking reader, forum policies) should be cross-linked via a "See Also" section at the bottom. It looks ...

Is there any way to directly contact the reader with this information? If i might offer what might be an unpopular opinion: The PL guidelines are for Proof Listeners who have the job of making sure the recording are "good enough" For you as a regular listener, there's nothing to stop you from ...

Re: How to avoid the "I'm reading" voice
Thanks for these great tips Mark! I definitely struggle with the artificial inflections (#1 and #2). It's a hard thing to un-learn. And "pause more" (#5) is something I am constantly working at. However, on #4 (at the risk of putting words in Mark's keyboard) I think the point is "don't over-act"? I ...
