Re: ~[SOLO] An Essay on Demonology, Ghosts and Apparitions, and Popular Superstitions, by James Thacher-ag
Hello Amy! I managed to get logged in to the LibriVox Management Dashboard, but I did not see any projects listed, so I am not quite sure how to update the Magic Window now that Tori has completed the first section here. I'm ready to put the "PL OK" there, but I can't figure out how to do ...

Fabulous, Tori! I just re-listened to that part; all good! I am not sure how to update the chart to indicate that this part is 100% good to go; maybe Amy can let me know how to do that. I am looking forward to the next installment. I attended a "Gothic Solstice" event last night where we r...

I think it's great to have the bit of Ovid there at the top, Tori! It's eerie and weird and really helps set the mood! I don't know if this is worth an audio-edit or not, but the abbreviation there is Ovid's Metamorphoses . This is my first time to proof-listen, so I don't know what the recommendati...

Re: [SOLO] Panchatantra by Vishnu Sharma - kaz
I did find another book in my area of interest needing a proof-listener, so I volunteered for that one! But if any help is needed with this book, just let me know. (I taught the Panchantantra for many years, using Ryder's version, in my mythology-and-folklore classes.) I am a new member of this foru...

I listened to Section 0, Tori! It sounds good! In the recording, I noticed one very tiny thing, at time stamp 1:02: you read "application of more than one mind ON its discussion" instead of "application of more than one mind TO its discussion." But that doesn't change the meaning...

This looks fascinating, and I will be glad to do proof-listening. I am new to the forum, but I would be glad to be the DPL if a newbie can volunteer for that. If I understand, it means that I will listen to every section as it is posted here with a "listen" link, is that right? And post co...

Hello from Laura in Austin
Hi everybody! I've been listening to LibriVox books for forever, and I used them when I was teaching mythology and folklore courses, and now I am excited to join the community. My goal is to record folktale books, but I'm getting started by doing proof-listening. I was so excited to see the Panchata...

Re: [SOLO] Panchatantra by Vishnu Sharma - kaz
I am a new member of this forum and would like to jump in by helping with proof-listening in order to learn how the LibriVox magic happens. I see there is a DPL for this book already, but it is one of my all-time favorite books (and Ryder is one of my all-time fav Sanskrit translators), so I am glad...
