5:02 This may be my ears playing tricks, but I hear here: "And he spoke." Whereas it should be "And she spoke," since the next words make it obvious that Hera is speaking. Like I said, you might actually be saying "she." It's a little hard to tell, but it sounded like ...

WOW! My subscribe feature must have turned itself off. I discover this and lo, 4 new recitals sitting there, like eggs in the nest. How exciting, O! Algy, Nancy, Inkell, your renditions, each one so very different, are all PL OK. Bill, I marvel at how you added, changed and omitted so many words in...

Re: New Multilingual Monthly Poetry Project
For Dulce et Decorum Est I managed to find a few translations but not enough that I think it would work as a project so nevermind. For Snow Evening I could find more translations but nothing about the translators, some even look like modern websites where people are translating so the translations m...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]The Merry Devil of Edmonton by Shakespeare - thw
It's also hard to watch the audio while recording because it and the text I need to read from don't fit on screen in full at the same time I always watch the waves in Audacity, it helps me focus on my speech and volume. I put the screen to half Audacity and half text, which is fully enough for me. ...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]The Merry Devil of Edmonton by Shakespeare - thw
Goodness - don't be less dramatic! If you record with Audacity, you can turn on a feature that makes things that are too loud show in red on the audio trace. That way you can see if you might have just clipped, which will make the sound disturbingly fuzzy on playback and can't be corrected by deamp...

Re: New Multilingual Monthly Poetry Project
Yes, this can be a problem. Also I had a problem with "The conflict" looking for the English translation as the title was changed by the translator (should have been "Fight" or "Battle"). Sometimes a translator goes without the original title but the first line. So usu...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]The Merry Devil of Edmonton by Shakespeare - thw
super, thank you, for a very dramatic performance. 8-) The sexton is really a bit superstitious, well done in the scene where he is scared out of his wits. All PL ok . Only careful with your volume , here you exceed the upper limit of 92 dB a bit ( nearly 94 dB ). No need to reupload since...

Re: New Multilingual Monthly Poetry Project
Hello Inkell! Usually I just use Google translate for the title or several lines of the poem and look it up, using the Google search. After finding translations and the translators I try finding the PD version (publication of 95 ago) if the author's years of life seem probable of having PD publicat...
