Wooow, this poem is really taking off - and I'm enjoying listening to every version (Neat job, Sam et al).
Didn't know my accent was in high demand... But then again I have to suffer it all the time.

This poem is a joy to read , at least I enjoyed reading it - whether or not you'll like listening is another matter, but nonetheless... http://randylaptop.com/librivox/night_before_christmas_sr.mp3 Should work (uploading now, should be done by the time I finish typing this post). Let me take the opp...

I would have enjoyed contributing, but I lack the computer literacy to record and send MP3 files using the instructions provided. There are other programs out there to let you record and save to mp3 and, while the sending of files may be difficult to manage, it's doable at least (and if you can't, ...

Sean, how did you get your recording so clean? .. much better than I can manage. I generally record on a laptop, which does a nicer job of background hiss than a full-blown desktop computer. I also recently acquired a Pocket PC and, if I can find a program to record to MP3 using that, will try some...

The Elves and the Shoemaker

I hope nobody minds that I did this one - I had 5 minutes and needed something to read
I'm perfectly happy to let someone else get it archived if it was reserved - but the list said it was open.

Hope it's ok...

The Tell-Tale Heart

I came across a Braille version of this Edgar Allan Poe one last night and remembered how much I enjoyed it... So here it is. Forgive me if I went a little over the top - and does anyone have any tips to prevent those clips at the louder bits? I recorded the loud bits about 6 times, once from across...

It'd be something to get Y Gododin done wouldn't it? wish my Welsh was better, but there's probably someone locally who would do that actually. I know there's an elderly lady who does lots of readings at church and such in the language - and although she's probably never read to a computer bef...

I "got my feet wet" by doing a reading for the Weekly Poetry thingy ... would be cool to hear you doing that! Well, how can I turn down a suggestion from two people at once? - Enjoyed that! What sort of thing do you like reading..? Would you consider doing something that your accent would complemen...

Well, I know it's on the cusp, time-wise, but here it is. "Not too bad for a first attempt", said the people I was Skyping with at the time when I decided to record, so I hope their right. Insidentally, do I need to keep the file up or will it be copied by you guys? (Again, new to all this...) http:...

New Poster Person Cachondo

Afternoon all, Very, very new here so forgive me if I sound, look, or just am stupid. The name's SEan (cachondo being a thing people stuck on me that I use), and I figured signing up was the least I could do. Hearing people read books, especially when you can't read print yourself, is sort of useful...
