Re: [Multilingual] WWI Centenary Prose Collection Vol. III-mas

Would “Five Inches” from the essays “Little Rays of Moonshine” be appropriate for this project? The book was published in 1921, but “Five Inches” refers to some of the veterans of the war. https://ia902205.us.archive.org/epub/index.php?id=littleraysmoons00unkngoog&dir=/28/items/littleraysmoons00unkn...

Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

Here I am, once again at this lonely LibriVox forum with my list of books read in Apri: :) " Nuggets in the Devil’s Punchbowl “ by Andrew Robertson. Gutenberg download. Pleasant, entertaining book of short stories of Australian frontier life. Has a definite cowboy feel to it. “ The Mermaid of Druid ...

Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

Books Read in March: " The Human Beast " (AKA The Beast Within) by Emile Zola. Library download (Hoopla) Excellent, very dark book in which several characters commit murders for various reasons…jealousy, impulse, greed, etc. A powerful book, very descriptive - especially the description of the blizz...

Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

My list for February. I especially liked the first two books on this list. “ March ” by Geraldine Brooks. Library book. Excellent fictional book featuring the mostly absent character of the father in Louisa May Alcott's “ Little Women ” (which is fictional, although somewhat autobiographical) as he ...

Re: Music - What are you listening to?

With a steady rain falling in central Arkansas and wet weather predicted from Texas to Michigan, this one seems appropriate. https://youtu.be/WxGC7dXya0c

Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

I've begun posting my 2018 reading goal on Goodreads, which already tells me I'm one book behind in my goal...nasty little twit. :) The Sea Wolf by Jack London. LibriVox download Good book. The character of Wolf Larsen is fascinating, but the romance seemed unnecessary. Very well read by Nick Bulka....

Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

I'm setting my goal for this year at 60 books. I didn't quite get there last year, but got fairly close. I also plan to post on Goodreads. Not sure if I'll put everything I've read on there or not. I don't have any particular goals in mind, so far as authors, types of books, etc. are concerned. Anyw...

Re: One Book A Week Club 2017

This my list for December. It's unusual not to have a LibriVox book on the list. I am listening to one now, just haven't finished it yet. I enjoyed posting books on here this year. I do look at Goodreads to read about books, but rarely post anything on there. I hope LibriVox has another "one book a ...
