Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

I've begun posting my 2018 reading goal on Goodreads, which already tells me I'm one book behind in my goal...nasty little twit. :) The Sea Wolf by Jack London. LibriVox download Good book. The character of Wolf Larsen is fascinating, but the romance seemed unnecessary. Very well read by Nick Bulka....

Re: One Book A Week Club 2018

I'm setting my goal for this year at 60 books. I didn't quite get there last year, but got fairly close. I also plan to post on Goodreads. Not sure if I'll put everything I've read on there or not. I don't have any particular goals in mind, so far as authors, types of books, etc. are concerned. Anyw...

Re: One Book A Week Club 2017

This my list for December. It's unusual not to have a LibriVox book on the list. I am listening to one now, just haven't finished it yet. I enjoyed posting books on here this year. I do look at Goodreads to read about books, but rarely post anything on there. I hope LibriVox has another "one book a ...

Re: One Book A Week Club 2017

My books read for October and November October: “ Kill All Cats ” by Rick Bylina. Hard copy book. OK book. I was working on other projects this month, so didn’t read a lot. I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more if I’d read it in a day or two. Instead, I spent several weeks reading it. “ The S...

Re: Can LibriVox Recordings Download to Talking Book Player?

Update: I spent time researching LibriVox for books my mom-in-law will probably like. I also found several radio programs (Old Time Radio) from archive.org that I think she'll enjoy. I loaded 51 items to the flash drive. As her eyesight is nearly gone, I also made a short recording with the titles o...

Re: [Multilingual] WWI Centenary Prose Collection Vol. III-m

For Volume III of WWI prose, I would like to record Chapter 1 from “ Catastrophe and Social Change Based Upon a Sociological Study of The Halifax Disaste r”. (December is the 100th anniversary of the event.) Although it was an accident rather than a deliberate act of war, the disaster had direct con...
