Re: Sci-Fi Collection 100 Suggestions
Overlapping with Rapunzelina’s idea but broadening the scope: titles published 100 or more years ago? So everything published up to (and including) 1924? Might still require a bit of digging, but we’d all be sure they were PD. And that could maybe include chapters of books like The Invisible M...

Why is a description of a group project that I drafted showing up on mysticbooks.org?
I was poking about randomly on the internet, and came across this page , which contains the description I drafted for a BC that’s still in progress (complete with the code for italics, rather than the actual italics that are currently in the description. There’s no audiobook link (presumably that’s ...

Re: ~[OPEN]One Act Play Collection 020 - thw
Here's the Lady Violetta. I hope I sound flighty, yet conniving, enough. I included a moan at one point where the stage directions say she moans, but I couldn't muster up a convincing shriek (I tried, but rejected them all; it's hard to shriek convincingly without provocation). I hope that's ok. It...

Very nicely done, indeed! Just one small tweak needed. Your closing silence is only 3 seconds. Can you please increase that to 5 seconds? Thanks, https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/fantasticfables_05_bierce_128kb.mp3 Here you go! Pleasure to work with you both; thank you being accommodating! ...

Thank you so much for that detailed explanation. Mostly clear now. I guess as I start recording and editing stuff, things will become clearer. Once again, thanks for all the inputs. Cheers. Rohit You’ve learned more in less than a week than I did in my first year! You’ll do just fine here. Cheers,

Re: [GROUP/SCIENCE FICTION] Potemkin Village, by Fletcher Pratt - brrot
Hello, Could I potentially claim chapter 3 of this story? I started reading it today morning and it sound very interesting, so I would like to record it. (I also passed the 1-minute test today morning btw). In my country, the law states that the person has to be dead for at least 60 years, and this...

I haven't been able to pass the test. I can't figure out where the him is coming from. I am having to move everything around to try and clear it up. I won't be able to do chapter 3 until I determine the cause. :( probably should have someone else do it. Hi minneman. I’m sorry to hear that. Did you ...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread
it would probably be best to normalize those parts separately, so that both reach close to 89 db. I knew there was a reason why I don’t use it  I used to use Amplify, but it also can amplify the loud bits too much and cause clipping. But Loudness Normalization doesn’t have that issue; it allow...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread
Thanks Anne and Redrun. Absolute clarity as regards Checker now. Am still a bit fuzzy regarding how to use the Replay gain plugin. I played around quite a bit. And the 'Analyse' option gives a particular reading in Db. Then when I use the 'Normalise' option, it increases the volume (waveforms get n...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread
Hey. Can I see the actual decibel level of my raw recording in Audacity? If so, where and how? The recording meter is in a different scale, I think. Just so I can check that my recording is in the desired 85-89 Db range. Greatly appreciate any inputs. Rohit The desired range is actually 86 to 92 dB...
