You got me to check Audacity's shortcuts, to see whether there is one for muting the playback volume (it could happen that one presses it accidentally), but there isn't. Chapter 9 is now ready for PL!

I did some small edits on this one at mid-day after recording it in the evening. To my ear, the edits seem significantly different in tone, but I'm not sure if they're going to impair listenability. Let me know if you think I should redo any of them.

And I've now solved the problem. Somehow the playback volume got moved to zero (I didn't touch it, I swear!) As soon as I cranked it back up to 100%, sound returned.
