Wonderful, thistlechick - I love that book and if you meet your new deadline I'll have the completed book to listen to on my next birthday! I'm really looking forward to this. Maybe we can start a project for 'Dear Enemy' ( http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/238 ) as well - the book about Judy's best fr...

So mp3 export working now, no ...

Yes, I'm using Audacity. I'll try re-downloading as the thread in the 'Need Help' Forum suggests when I'm back home.

Thank you, Chip! Both for the encouragement and the conversion. I'll try to get that exporting problem fixed before doing more reading.

Lulululu?

... when in fact I was just saving you a seat next to me... And a very comfortable one, too! I see you managed to get the chapter where they are discussing 'Udolpho' - when I read Northanger Abbey first, I was so interested in what Austen would have her heroine read that I bought that book. ...

I can't possibly say no to that! Ok, I will take a chapter of Northanger Abbey, Cori. As soon as I get everything installed and working on my computer.

Thanks for the welcome! I thought when you talk of 'regional accents' you mean american/british/canadian or the like. I'll try to find something easy for a start with. Though I'm not a huge fan of Kafka the Brothers Grimm sound like I might be able to tackle them. If anyone has old German books that...

Hi, I'm Inka and like Vlooi and Cori I've wandered over here from DP . I'm not sure yet whether I can contribute, but I find this project interesting, so I signed up. You probably don't want to have Jane Austen read with a german accent, though  Although I was told that my accent is good when ...
