Re: ~ OPEN [PLAY] The Speckled Band, by Doyle - rap
Michelle, I found a repeat in my Sherlock file for Act 2. I've deleted it and re-uploaded. It was "It all comes back to me" at about 11.28. It's now 26min 12 secs.

Re: Cockney Accent Tutorial
I'm no linguist ... or should it be philologist? ... and haven't really registered the different voice sounds when I've been to other parts of the country. Lazy. But when I was interested in trying to get local sounds right, I did buy a book-and-CD called "How to do accents", by Edda Sharp...

Re: Cockney Accent Tutorial
The video would be helpful for anyone who's not had the chance to be surrounded by the accent. It's over-emphasised, not relaxed enough ... but that's probably necessary if you're going to learn the accent from him. And he does lapse once or twice, but I think it's probably only noticeable to London...

I'm doing a couple of drawings, just to give our covermaker some choice (including the choice not to use either of them, of course!).

And here is Chapter 37. "Our poor old horses" pdf pages 463-470 / text 434-441 Hoping for better Spring fragrances than you're dreading. Buds are just showing on the trees, though the crocuses and daffodils are prematurely flowering. I'd better get working on that drawing I said I'd do. Pe...

Re: [OPEN] Multilingual First Chapter Collection 012 - rap
Thanks, Rapunzelina; yes, I wonder how many people will be attracted by the flavour of the title! How precise is the phrase "First chapter"? I soloed a book a little while ago which was a semi-fictional account of life in a Sussex village. Each month had three short pieces, and there was a...
