Re: Open Access Publications

I'm afraid not. The Creative Commons licence that it's released under explicitly forbids commercial use or profit. Anything we release is absolutely public domain, which means that anyone can use it in any way they choose.

Re: Conan Doyle horror story

Thanks for all the detective work! I didn't read it through, though, but I did like the sound of the Wikipedia summary.

I do hope someone picks it up.

Conan Doyle horror story

Some years ago, someone suggested that I read a short horror story by Conan Doyle called Lot No. 249. I didn't follow up on it at the time, but this evening I tried to find out a little more about it. It was first published in Harper's Magazine in 1892, but although it's been published in a recent P...

Re: HYPHENIC - Want to read for an art project?

It looks as if Tor-Finn and his colleague managed to get this project finished. The film is going to be shown on the 20th October. I don't know whether it's going to go on youtube eventually.

It's only a minor thing, but I never make that final run through Checker that you do; I assume that I've got it right, after I adjust the amplification.

From the article about the lynching, that Professor Gibson was described as a "mulatto", so whether one called him "white" or "black" would probably depend on the point that was being made .. though the Professor Gibson in the photograph in the earlier edition ( https://archive.org/details/01168772....

Re: [POETRY] Rhymes of a Red Cross Man by Robert W. Service-ag

Here you go. I thought I'd get them done, as I had to wait in for a delivery. But I apologise for not waiting for your okay; I've just realised that if I had missed someone else's claims and uploads for these three, my uploads will have displaced theirs. If my recordings are actually duplicates, I c...

Re: [POETRY] Rhymes of a Red Cross Man by Robert W. Service-ag

Thanks, Silverquill; I liked "Only a Boche" best. I'd like to read 12 Fleurette, 15 My Mate, and 30 My Prisoner, please. There are a few of the remaining poems that are spoken by women. Would it be worth mentioning that somewhere, to see if we can get women to read them? ... and, for that matter, a ...

For some reason, I can't open my files in the MW, but they'll open if I copy the URL into my browser.

Re: [SOLVED] Duplicate-Work Question

I'd imagine that the only difficulty with having two different recordings of the same work made by the same person would be in keeping the sound files separate. Obviously, if you have two metacoordinators, they will be stored in different folders during processing, but to avoid accidentally sending ...
