Fletcher, that sounds really good, reminds me of Dead Can Dance.

Re: LibriVox API Discussion Thread
TriciaG, thank you for the link to API code on GitHub, I did notice that when I read the entire thread, I may look at it if I design my own schema. I do understand the main directive is for readers, and the project is run by volunteers. I don't think I came in untactful and pointed anything out as r...

Re: LibriVox API Discussion Thread
Hi Availle, thank you for answering, I appreciate it. I just spent about two hours reading the entire thread. I understand LibriVox is a volunteer effort, the API ran out of funding, and hasn't really been touched since 2013. Also I do see Anne's many comments of "not the prime directive,"...

Re: LibriVox API Discussion Thread
That seems rather presumptious of my intent. I feel my technical questions are valid, and I could answer them myself if I could read the docs or code. I shall read the 18 page thread (first post says "We'd like you to test, and give us feedback."), it would just be helpful to me in general...

Re: LibriVox API Discussion Thread
Hi, I have a few questions regarding the catalog API at https://librivox.org/api/info Is it possible to request the JSON details for a selection of ids? Suppose I want the info for books 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7, returned in one response? How can I tell the current maximum book id? When I look at the "...

Re: What do I select?
I should think that now that we are once again getting new works into the Public Domain yearly, that might be a good place to start?
Can one start recording next year's PD works, in preparation for when they become PD?

That confused me too, I thought it must be an "official" app but it turns out it is not.

Re: Android Apps?
Follow-up question, I found this page from April 2011
https://librivox.org/2011/04/28/librivox-api-opds/
which talks about a standardized OPDS (Open Publishing Distribution System) for publishing the catalog. It was work-in-progress at that time. Did anything come of that, is there more recent info?

Android Apps?
I have just begun using LibriVox, after years of using Audible. I am using the free (with ads) LibriVox Audio Books app on Android from the Google Play Store. I was interested in knowing if there is an official app, if this is it, or if it's another one. Basically, what is the relationship of this a...
