Re: Removing undesired sounds

I use Imaginary Teleprompter. It will scroll through the text at a constant rate and you don't have to click. Since there is no clicking, there's also no post processing required to remove the clicks. This will run on your system along with Audacity or your recording program of choice. No tablet req...

Adobe's Enhance Speech is a FREE AI-Powered Audio Tool

Hey Folks; I was reading the Bedroom Producer's Blog (if you're not familiar with it, it's a blog dedicated to music production. They do have a list of VST's that will work with Audacity.) The latest newsletter had a write up about Adob'es latest AI powered speak enhancement tool. Here's a link to t...

Re: Stop Using Audacity. It will give your data to the cops.

I was just reading this article over at Gizmodo https://gizmodo.com/audacity-s-privacy-policy-doesn-t-make-it-spyware-bec-1847235025 Seems that Gizmodo doesn't classify Audacity as "spyware" because everything else is. They say "if you’re worried about Audacity being spyware then you ...

Re: Watch A Voice Over Session Implode

This is a normal everyday session for me. I even think he underplayed it a bit ... Seriously? I'm bettnig you have some great stories to tell! Not really. Things can get very frustrating like today having to abandon a book I had recorded nearly six chapters of, because there were so many mistakes i...

Makes me happy that clients are never present at my actual recording session.
I knew someone could relate. :D

Watch A Voice Over Session Implode

I suspect that some of the readers here may do narration work. If so, you may relate to this voice over session going south. If not, you will understand it more than the average person and you're "learning with CRG English Priiimme"  Either way, it's an entertaining 5 minutes. h...

Re: How do you keep up 150 WPM without slowing down?

Someone else was mentioning this too .... Hopefully I won't sound too much like Mickey Mouse when sped up! Hahah! Everyone does! The trick to not sounding like Mickey Mouse at double speed is to put so much feeling into your reading that the soundwave gets clipped... in that case, you'll sou...

Indeed.

And while I've never seen a need for it, the listener can always play a recording at his or her preferred speed.

Re: How do you keep up 150 WPM without slowing down?

I have more of a problem with speeding up as I go and having to remind myself to slow down! (It's my inner Jersey Girl I guess). I have never timed out my pace, but I find that it sounds pretty natural but slow enough to be understandable if I read just a hair slower when recording than I would &qu...

Re: How do you keep up 150 WPM without slowing down?

1) For those who are slow narrators such as myself, do you just not worry about it and do what you do best? Do this. Reading at an unnatural pace will sound unnatural. Don't obsess over things like this - it will ruin narrating for you. Indeed. And while I've never seen a need for it, the listener ...

Re: How do you keep up 150 WPM without slowing down?

I'm with Phil and Don with this one. Speed of reading depends on the content, and I myself speed up and slow down depending on the context. I consciously try not to speak too fast as I then find it hard to make sense of the text. If I think (or it says) a character is hesitating, I will hesitate. T...
