Re: Pearl Buck

I don't see any projects in progress for her. And when I do a forum search on "Pearl Buck", I only get the "Mother" project thread posts and some in Book Suggestions. So there are no sections submitted in in-progress compilations, either. So, another case of the "in progress...

If I have anything not quite right, Tricia will let me know!
Speak of the devil....?

Just sticking in my nose about the copyright year. I don't think it's really important exactly which year goes in the database entry. We know it's PD, and that's the most important part. :)

Re: Effects Chain

My effects:

While editing, I'll use de-clicker on the occasional mouth click

After editing:
- Leveler (only to settle down some occasional vowel "blasts")
- Noise reduction
- Volume adjustment if needed, but usually not needed (I check with ReplayGain and then use Amplify if needed)

Because it was just a copyright renewal rather than a whole new copyright. Confusing, I know. :)

If you click on the html link, the text is there.

Re: SOLO - Doctor Dolittle in the Moon [Doctor Dolittle #8], by Hugh Lofting (1886 - 1947)

This is a different text source than you verified. This one doesn't give the edition it was read from, so it's more suspect. You should record from the Faded Page edition.

(I'm not MC'ing; I'm full up on projects right now.)

Re: Dr. Dolittle in the Moon

1) Experience, knowing that works published in 1923 and later (for a while) had to be copyright-renewed 28 years after publication, or else they fell into the public domain. And math: 1928+28=1956. 2) I did look up the copyright renewal here: https://exhibits.stanford.edu/copyrightrenewals/catalog?e...
