Re: My 1 Minute Test (DesignChris)

Your other recording WAS mono; this one is stereo. :hmm:

The volume is better, but not by much. It came up about 4 dB. It needs to come up about 6 dB more. :)

You could still ask at Legamus.eu if the translator also died before 1947.
The OP is in the USA, so Legamus.eu wouldn't be a help for her.

Re: Tao Te Ching by Laozi

As I am new to this, could you please help explain how this e-book is or is not able to form the basis of an audiobook when the licence appears to me to allow it. It IS able to be recorded, as it's in the Public Domain in the USA. Todd thought that, because you put 2018 in as the publication year, ...

Re: TEST David Alan Mors

Great! All is good now.

Volume has been slightly high over the past few tests, but don't change it. I'm afraid it would change too much. :) You're not clipping, so you should be fine.

Have fun!

Re: Report of the Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities

This is honkin' HUGE! Book 1 is 640 pages. If Books 2-6 are just as large, this is a more gargantuan project than the Watergate Report.

It's on page 2, so you might have missed it.

Instructions for a 1-minute test (how to upload, etc.) can be found here: https://wiki.librivox.org...

Re: Tao Te Ching by Laozi

I posted on your test in the thread you made in Listeners & Editors Wanted. :) Regarding old texts: their translations incur a new copyright. So even the oldest text known, Epic of Gilgamesh, would be under copyright if someone re-translated it. There are versions of the Bible that are under copyrig...
