Unrelated to LibriVox, I encountered a computer once where only apps from the Microsoft Store were permitted to be installed. There was some sort of setting in Windows about this. I am brand new here and in the process of reading everything but I haven't come across anything that states if we can read books that have only been reprinted not written again by another author making it absent in the Public domain? The way you're proposing reading the table sounds fine to me.
Footnotes are at your discretion. You could leave it out altogether if you want, or, as you say, you can move it to the end of the sentence if you like that best.
