One hour is okay. It should be split if it goes over about 74 minutes or so - the length of an audio CD.

The author's famous as A. A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh). However, his full name is Alan Alexander Milne. I think it best to call him A. A. Milne -- the name people know -- in the recording. It's an important part (and a good chunk) of the preface. I don't think it can be omitted. Fortunately, it doesn't look hard to read.

Maybe consider omitting the preface altogether, if you'd rather not read the bibliographical material.
