Re: Tamil Recordings

They could put it on Archive.org themselves, or perhaps Audible.

Re: New here, wanting to know if it would work....

The concern was that the librivox community may have "rules" against releasing "in-progress" works to the public like I planned, outside of the librivox system. It may sound odd, but I want to be respectful of this established community and how it operates. We have no such rule. Heck - we release t...

Re: Classic Noir Mystery and Detective

Copyright is your biggest obstacle. I just grabbed one of the names you mentioned and threw it into Wikipedia. Ross Macdonald was born in 1915, so his works are not automatically in the public domain in the USA (that happens when they were published in 1922 or earlier). The other way works can be pu...

Re: Abandoned projects still listed

Projects do not have a 2-month time limit. Sections in group projects do (at the BC's discretion). A soloist can take years to finish their project if they want to, as long as they keep in touch. If a soloist disappears for 3 months or more, the MC can abandon the project and offer it up for someone...

Re: New here, wanting to know if it would work....

Welcome! We don't want people publicly posting our uploader links to in-progress projects for a couple reasons: (1) it adds to the server traffic unnecessarily, and (2) the links are only temporary and will not remain the same after cataloging the project. You could upload the file on another site c...

Re: [GROUP] Jurisprudence by John Salmond-mas

I'll claim sections 36 and 38, please. I might come back to do 35, but it has a lot of terms in a lot of languages - I'll have to work myself up to it and do some research before taking that one on!

I think they're fine. Different listeners have different tastes in reading speed, so you're never going to satisfy everyone, but I'm perfectly happy with your pace. :)

That is an excellent suggestion, I can't believe we don't have The Wiz as a DR yet!

Hmmmmm... toys with the idea...
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a DR. It's the many other Oz books, many of which aren't DRs yet. ;)

Dramatic reading projects are confusing by nature. ;)

Re: OPEN [DRAM READ] Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky-maryann

I would like to read 48 01 - Part 1 Chapter 1 Are you only looking for the narrator or would I do other parts in that section, as well? Elena It looks like all parts of this are assigned, including the narrator. The "open" sections are for the completed, edited-together chapters. I've marked this p...
