Checker 0.96 and bit rate in the file name question.

Some (all?) the 2 or 3 recordings I've completed required *_128kb.mp3 in the file name. Checker v0.96 throws a Validation error saying standard names should not include the bit rate information. Just ignore this right?

Kind regards,

Submitting Section 10 - The Bus-Conductor https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/roominthetower_10_benson_128kb.mp3 19:26 I had done a few of the poems which were nice and short so this was my first long (well long for me) attempt. I learned so much! While this one took quite a bit of time for a 19-m...

Re: Hello from Dallas

Hi Sera!

Fellow Dallasite here. I've heard of IPAs and stouts but not sours or berliner weisses. Not sure I would want to try the sour but the berliner weisses sounds interesting.

Welcome aboard!

Re: Help! Reader with too many inhalation noises

Just to add another take on breathing noises, I find it hard to listen to a recording when all the breaths have been edited out. Just spoken words and some floor noise feels weird and I even feel like I'm suffocating just a bit. For me, reading with a slower cadence, moving the mic slightly off-axis...

Re: What made you choose your nickname?

What a great story! Family nicknames are always so funny, aren't they, although they seem totally normal inside the family. My mom's nickname for me is Furry. (Devorah>Devorie>Devurrie>DeFurry>Furry) She called me this one day when my husband was around, and he was confused when I answered. "D...

Re: What made you choose your nickname?

Growing up in a large family it was common for our parents to call us by our nicknames. Mine was "Bug" and sometimes "The Bug" or "Bugless" (a play on Douglas) even into adulthood. One of my co-workers misunderstood my mom calling me "The Bug" one day when I h...

Re: [Weekly Poetry] If I knew What Poets Know by James Whitcomb Riley - dl

When submitting corrections from PL notes, do I post the link to the uploaded file in a new message at the end of the thread? I think I responded to the middle of the thread with the link to the corrected version. Also, when submitting corrections, the file name stays the same correct? Kind regards,...
