Opinion sought on my new purchase mic mixer PreSonus

I bought new "PreSonus Audio Box 96 Studio". Do you think this will suffice for audio books (and double up as a podcast tool too)? I have not opened the box and have 30 days to return. Thank you in advance.

Audacity download comes with baggage?

I noticed Audacity is downloaded from hosting site called Fosshub. Has anyone noticed extra or unwanted adware, or programs piggy-backing after you downloaded Audacity?

How does one go about the setup arrangements for recording voice if you live next to a passenger train line or busy road? Train pass every 15 min on average, occasional freight train (4 times a day roughly) and the road is not a main line but busy except for very late at night, but then I need to be...
