Re: One Minute Test - mcalvo

Hello! Great recording! There needs to be some tweaks. Firstly, the bitrate is at 320kbps when it should be at 128kbps. You can change this in the exporter settings. The volume is a little low at 83 dB where the range is 86-92 dBs. You can fix this by amplifying the track. After fixing those require...

Re: [NOT LV]Mp3 to Mp4 - or Audacity to YouTube

You're welcome! I'm glad it helped : )

Great tips there! It's always good to keep the file size as small as possible, but remaining at a decent quality.

Re: Minute Test

Your recording sound great! Volume is a little over the target range at 93.7 dB (with the range being at 86-92 dB). You can negatively amplify the track in Audacity to get it within the correct level. You can also use this program to check your recording: https://cgjennings.ca/checker.html After you...

Re: Mp3 to Mp4 - or Audacity to YouTube

I do a lot of video editing and I use Kdenlive which is both free, easy to use and for Linux, Mac and Windows so I can use it anywhere: https://kdenlive.org/en/download/ OpenShot is an alternative but I didn't like it as much: https://www.openshot.org/download/ I threw together a quick recording on ...

Re: Mp3 to Mp4 - or Audacity to YouTube

It seems like one can export an mp4 format from Audacity using the FFmpeg library: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/export.html I'm not sure if it will get around YouTubes video requirements. What I would do is import it into any video editor then immediately export it as an mp4. But while you're...

I'm not too sure either. Here are the rules: A1.2 "applies to articles not written in English that have essentially the same content as an article on another Wikimedia project." G.4 "applies to sufficiently identical copies, having any title, of a page deleted via its most recent deletion discussion...

Re: An error in MP3, Germinal Émile ZOLA, I - 6 (16:20-16:31)

Hello, I don't know if this will do, but I found someone who read the same book and has a similar voice; Pomme. Here's the link to her recordings of the book: http://www.litteratureaudio.com/livre-audio-gratuit-mp3/zola-emile-germinal.html I cut the part from Pommes recording and pasted it over the ...

Re: Wikipedia.org expertise needed

I have a decent amount of experience with using MediaWiki but not with Wikipedia itself, but from what I gather it seems to be "moved to Wiktionary, Wikibooks or Wikisource" according to the user who deleted the page. Here's his full comment (I used Google Translate to translate the comment so it mi...
