Re: Daemonologie-King James I?

That's fine - I just wasn't sure reading the thread that it was totally clear , and it's a hard read , being forced to redo it would be very very discouraging. I BCed most of Fairie Queene and at least there you did get some clues because of the rhyme and rythym.

Re: Daemonologie-King James I?

I'm not quite sure if you understand our policies - we only accept a recording of the text as written in a PD source - you can not read your "translation" or anyone else's not PD version. If you did understand , that's fine , I just didn't want you to spend hours on something that we could not use. ...

Re: [SOLO] An excursion the Lakes by William Hutchinson-arb

I agree fully that this is not great literature, it's someone telling us about a great place they have been . It's like a sketch made with watercolours It will get muddy if over worked. I'd just cut out repeats and put in the summary that it was recorded in situ

Re: Simple suggestion for improving reader performance

And that's fine, but not an LV requirement :D And I would argue that for fiction that there's a certain joy in thinking you and the reader are discovering the book at the same time :D And as for youtube - many of those who try to claim ownership of our works can't even spend time making the covers r...

You'd need to find a translation published before 1923 - no one has been able to yet.

Re: Tags in generated files missing and worse

I've checked my downloaded 64 kb zip file and all the tags are there. We don't make the 64kb zip - Archive does them "on demand" , maybe it's a "server glitch" or something ?

Re: Metalic sound in Greenmantle by John Buchan (solo)

I'm a John Buchan fan and I've listened to Tom's reading of Greenmantle many times - he has a distinctive sound in all his recordings which I don't find a problem - and he's a great story teller, and easy to follow.
