butting in , and this can be deleted but personally listening to poetry I like to have a thinking time between them . Are you planning to read the names, ranks etc of each verse ? In some ways that is part of the relevance.

I think you misunderstood the advice. Nearly everyone does some editing after recording . What did checker say?

Re: ~[SOLO] The Cold Heart by Wilhelm Hauff-ans

We need a proof listener. We ask readers to enter the time for each file - it's a rough check that all the file made it through the ether . and people to like to know how long things will take them to do the proof listening. just in the notes field mm:ss Lets wait to see if there is any fixing neede...

Re: NEW HERE

first thing is to submit your 1 minute test to check we can use your recordings, then start on something small while you see if you enjoy reading aloud and have an idea how long it takes to record and edit the finished product. Anne

Re: Kia ora from Aotearoa

Any thing PD is "the thing" round here and as to accents - I firmly believe that I don't have an accent, everyone else does. It's a bit annoying sometimes that LV goes by USA copyright laws but that's where our files are stored so that is what it is. So just whip up a 1 minute test (well i...

Re: Questions about Volunteer 1min recording

Welcome :D There are members who have recorded with mobile phones. Do the test as per instructions and upload it and post the link so we can check the "technical bits" and if needed can give you advice about your equipment and how you could fix any problems. Everyone was new once. Do just ...

Re: [SOLO] Scientists do Science in Space (Ed Reads Short Sci-fi, vol. VII)- ans

I'm quite happy with those as they are, I accept variations in intro and outro on existing recordings being added - but I would insist on the standard for a new recording - I didn't realise you were waiting for me and the last weeks have been overfull of real life .

Re: ~[SOLO/RELIGION] The B. B. Warfield Collection, Volume 6 -ans

Welcome Gill :D Moving to going Solo .

I assumed you would only put the text link in the metadata - repeating the author 31 times down our catalogue page will certainly not improve the look of our catalogue page , I will need to do some inquiring.

Re: [SOLO] The Cold Heart by Wilhelm Hauff-ans

that's all you need - I'll fix the file name later - you need to put 01, 02 etc to make the files work in all the software even if there are less than 10 number files- (and if you have over 99 files you need to have 3 digits).
