How about uploading your latest file and posting a link . Otherwise everyone is sort of guessing . It might help to say about your microphone and your software if you are not using Audacity - Checker does does its best to explain things but ears and eyes can help

I'd agree with that but OK - it's a technical train manual and a relation is finding reading hard - read it for them.
It's all a matter of mind over matter - and not always easy to do. Just don't overthink. No one has to listen. (except the proof listener)
