Re: [SOLO] The Spirit of Bambatse by H. Rider Haggard-ans

I suppose if you have learnt that White Christians were the pinnacle of human development ( and the English the cairn on the top) then everyone else was subhuman. It always puzzles me that we get complaints about the "N" word used by the Ethiopian in the Just So Stories but never anything about the ...

Re: "This Board has no Forums"

New users can take part in discussions and it is definitely our bulletin board , I'm not posting the attachment- I am quite wary of attachments and practice "social distancing" with them . :D

Re: A third party is claiming the copyright of the Librivox recordings

It is nothing to do with us. However iff you look at your first link it says Aventuras de Masín (Tom) Sawyer by Mark Twain (1835 - 1910) Read by Victor Villarraza Copyright: CC. Both the book and the audio are in the public domain. The audio is the records of Librivox. And then gives the copyright o...

Re: Why are my recordings so muddy?

Phil - not getting into the technical side but I do notice that most children's TV has high pitched speech so maybe they find children learn better with higher-pitched voices. Or that higher-pitched voices are "clearer" in speech .So maybe it's the pitch of your voice? And you can't change that.

Re: COMPLETE: 'Lena Rivers' by Mary Jane Holmes - jo

error report via email
In the book Lena Rivers by Mary Jane Holmes, chapters 17-18 are missing. The chapters labeled as 17-18 are actually a second copy of the previous file, Chapters 15-16 (note the exactly matching file size).

Re: New Reader!

Welcome aboard. You don't need to choose a book straight away, we suggest (strongly) that it helps to have done a bit of recording here first. We do not audition people but we ask them to submit the 1 minute test mentioned in your welcome email so we can help you get all the technical bits so we can...

Re: Volunteer CD Covers! Working Thread

2 preclaims made .

Please don't ask questions here that have nothing to do with covers. External links would say wikipedia links if that was what it was for.

1 cover caught .......... and linked. Thank you :D

Re: Oh hey there! From quarantine in Mumbai

Welcome aboard! It is possible - just get your 1-minute test done so you can get your technical settings right, and as soon as it's OK find something in the readers wanted forums. That's the quickest way to get started.
