Bump! Also not very tech-savvy. Also using Catalina. Also would like to get back into recording but really just want something user friendly. Starting to think it doesn't exist

Re: [OPEN][HISTORY/GEOGRAPHY]World's Story 9: England - kit
Hi, I was unable to complete this due to technical difficulties that I simply do not have the spoons to work through at this time. Hopefully soon I'll get back into recording but for now I'll go ahead and relinquish my section so that the project can get completed. Greetings. Would like to claim sec...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread
Am currently in the same situation as Shasta. Surely we can't be the only audacity for mac users on this forum and a solution will be forthcoming?? I recently updated my iMac from OS Mojave to OS Catalina and discovered that Catalina does not support Audacity, i.e., when one tries to record one gets...

Re: ~[GROUP]Christopher Cricket on cats-ag
Thank you. Now, I just attempted a practice run and discovered that Audacity is no longer supported on the latest version of MacOS. Have posted on the Audacity support thread but until I get a resolution I'm not able to proceed.

Re: [OPEN][HISTORY/GEOGRAPHY]World's Story 9: England - kit
Greetings. Would like to claim section 16, the baptism of Edwin. 'Twill be my first recording, but please clarify what sort of name or pseudonym is required. Does it have to be unique (in which case, my username is fine?), or do most people use their own name? In which case, just Amy or Amy R is find.

Re: ~[GROUP]Christopher Cricket on cats-ag
With fear and trepidation I would like to attempt the poem in section 5. Wish me luck  Erm. That is. Haven't even started recording yet and already I'm unclear. How should I record the intro? "Untitled poem, by Anthony Henderson Euwer"? "Cataleaptics these are, by Anthony Hender...

Hi Amy! I see section 8 is now marked PL OK. Was that you? Please also post in the thread if you've proof-listened and got a PL OK, otherwise there's no way of knowing who's updated the Window, and if it was by mistake, for instance. Thanks! Ok, sorry! Yes, chapters 8 and 9 are PL ok

Re: [Novel] Muslin by George Moore - rap
It's working now. Don't know how it's possible for the same password to work the fourth time but not the first, second, or third. Anyway. Apparently I forgot to hit "enter" to save when I changed the status of chapter 3 before. Chapter 3 has been proof listened. I thought I had already mar...

Re: [Novel] Muslin by George Moore - rap
Chapter 3 has been proof listened. I thought I had already marked it ok but it's not showing up that way in the MW and for some reason my password isn't working to let me back into the system. I don't know why I am having such a hard time figuring out this whole workflow. I feel old.

Re: ~[Novel] Muslin by George Moore - rap
Hello! I'm interested to begin my career as a proof-listener. I have read the FAQ. If I'm not mistaken, I simply listen to the chapters marked "Ready for PL" and indicate whether the recording meets the criteria listed for "standard proof-listening". I am beginning with section 1...
