Re: FULL[PLAY]The Lying Lover by Steele - thw

In Act IV, it seems fair to say Latine is WICKED DRUNK in the first two scenes... but is it reasonable to portray him as almost completely sober in Scene 3? Or has not enough time passed? (Granted, he might process the alcohol swiftly...)

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Lying Lover by Steele - thw

Notes... For the Latin v, I pronounced it using the classical w sound. Hmm, I may have delivered that line too angrily...

Also, I upgraded my mic. It's a little warmer in the baritone range.

Is Nita still available? If so, I'd like to put the role in my queue.

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Lying Lover by Steele - thw

Latine from Act 2, 2:23. https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/lyinglover_latine_2_128kb.mp3 (I remembered the "128kb" in the file name this time.)

I've reduced the pauses between lines to 4-5 seconds (instead of 6-7).

Sneak preview is at https://instaud.io/3sbl

[Pg 121] "enchanted castles, where strangers found strange tables strangely furnished with strange cates"

I'm still recording... I read this as crates. The food's inside the crates, eh? :D

... Because ... erm, because, it was after midnight and I was slightly confused. I'll do a second completeness check on the output. If I set the audio to double speed, it won't take long.
I just finished. It all seems to be there.

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Benefit of the Doubt by Pinero - thw

The length is now 10:25. ok I trust you on that ;) the voice credit is correct now and all PL ok . But I have to ask...w...

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Benefit of the Doubt by Pinero - thw

Finished Shafto, 9:37 (which includes about 15 sec emptiness at the end). https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/benefitofthedoubt_shafto_2_128kb.mp3 an absolutely brilliant performance, Lex !!! I loved his nonchalance in some parts but the almost boyish exuberance in others, especially in the ...

Chapter 11 is also PL OK but in the future please don't spell out librivox. We just say librivox dot org.
Shall I submit a correction? It's easy enough.

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Benefit of the Doubt by Pinero - thw

Pronounciation questions: Allingham -- AL-ing-HAM? AL-ing-ƏM? Fraser -- FRAY-zer? Or perhaps FRAY-zher (like the 90s sitcom)? I think so far we definitely have AL -ing-um and I think the majority is for FRAY-zer. But as long as you stick to the same pronunciation throughout your own performance, an...

I'm puzzled by this section...
SHAFTO.
[From within.] Nothing. I breathe again. ...
Is he hyperventilating? ... having some sort of panic attack?
I think I found the answer already.

breathe again: to relax after being frightened or tense about something
