Re: The Narrator's Elixir for vocal clarity
Yes Vicks will do the same as the tiger balm... I think the common ingredient is camfour, which is why it's considered a decongestant for colds and lung infections, etc. Never tried mints of any kind, guess I'm mostly concerned with keeping my palate clean. As for Fisherman's Friend... I always felt...

The Narrator's Elixir for vocal clarity
Hi all, Just thought I'd share my own personal "recipe" for keeping mouth noises to a minimum and keeping the airways and vocal chords clear: --- Narrator's Elixir - 1-2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar, juice of 1 small or 1/2 a large lemon, one teaspoon honey, top up with hot or cold wate...

Re: [not LV]Youtube profile link
Thanks Anne, no worries - I see how it's not a LV problem... and indeed not a big deal in any sense. Just something I noticed so thought I'd mention it.

Re: Youtube profile link
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6180214?hl=en&ref_topic=9257109 According to google support, the /user addresses are supposed to automatically redirect to /channel - this is true of the example they give on the page: youtube.com/user/partnersupport However, it doesn't work with my chan...

Re: End "credits"
Understood, no problem. Funny you say about the individual's website... I logged in here today after a lengthy time away, and somehow my login was hacked - with my website link pointing to a viagra site! These things do happen - I've since changed my password and fixed the link!

[not LV]Youtube profile link
There's a problem with the way the youtube profile link is set up. Whatever you put in the field is appended to https://youtube.com/user In my case, since I have a channel, my actual direct youtube link is https://youtube.com/dsbaudio I have sought out my user ID via advanced setting on youtube, how...

End "credits"
Hi all,
I'm just wondering, when there is an opportunity to mention "name, city, date" at the end of a recording - would it be acceptable to substitute "website" for "city", or is this generally frowned upon as being too much self-promotion?

Thank you for setting out the guiding principals of Librivox!
Good luck to all those selfless individuals who support and contribute to this ideal, and good luck also to all those enterprising individuals who have had the gumption to profit from the wealth of material available.

Copyright and re-posting to youtube, etc.
Hi all, Apologies if this subject has been covered elsewhere... I am wondering what the status of re-posting to Youtube and similar sites is in terms of "copyright". I realize that all text on Librivox are in the public domain. Further, the required announcement at the start of each record...

Re: (Open) Children's Short Works, Vol. 027 - m8b1
Hi, i have The Happy Prince recorded. I just have to do the announcements at the beginning and end. Is it ok to give my name and website? should this be done at the beginning or at the end?
