I remember being assigned to read Night and Lord of the Flies (both are hard to forget). I just re-read LOTF recently, though, and feel I understand it more now.

One of my favorite series as a kid was a 90s show called Wishbone, about a Jack Russell Terrier who re-enacted stories from classic books.
