Re: Do you record with your Iphone or Ipad?

I no longer record using my phone, but did during a short period of time. I plugged in simple apple earbuds into it and found that my quality was pretty good (of course not professional quality, but not much of a difference from the $10 USB mic I have). I had to download a free app and got most of ...

Nice, I'm glad that worked. Maybe that mic has a problem? No idea. What matters is that it works. Happy recording!

Re: When I try to use Audacity, it says "invalid sample rate", how to I fix this?

So when you have Audacity open, Look at the very top of your screen. You should see a bunch of menu items (for example Audacity, File, Edit, Select, View, etc.). There should be one that says Transport. When you have your mic plugged in, click on that, which should open up a list of many more select...

If you have an external mic, try plugging it in before you open Audacity. Alternately, go to Transport>Rescan Audio Devices, and after you do that make sure the correct mic is still selected. This has happened for me if I have plugged in my mic with Audacity open.

Re: [SOLO] Exit Betty by Grace Livingston Hill - kiki

Hi Campbell, I fixed the errors on the last recording. I am super sorry that I have really slowed down on things. With my boys doing school from home these days, it seems almost impossible to find quiet time one the computer! Thank you so much for your patience. I hope you are feeling much better!!...

Re: Annoying words

'Often' gets me every time! Don't quite know what to do with the t. Can’t believe no-one’s posted this G&S dialogue extract yet... General. (aside) Hah! an idea! (aloud) And do you mean to say that you would deliberately rob me of these, the sole remaining props of my old age, and leave me to go th...

Hello, I am trying to send it again. Thanks for reviewing. https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_johnnyblessed.mp3 Joao Aguiar a.k.a. Johnny Blessed Nice work! Please note that your volume is at 92.1 dbs when we need it at 86-92. Since this is so close, I can let it go. Maybe next time turn down ...

Re: [SOLO] Exit Betty by Grace Livingston Hill - kiki

I got through it and it sounds wonderful (as normal). Here are a few notes:

17:25 – loud phrase

17:39 – volume jump

‘End of Chapter 14’ sounds loud to me

Can't wait for more!

Re: Re:

I've read that it's only "ok" if you say 'Macbeth' when talking about Shakespeare's play, so the character or the play's name would both be fine. Otherwise it's referred to as the "m word" tbh it's just keeping with tradition, like the phrase "break a leg." I do theatre, and I only found abou...

Re: Re:

Then what do you do when you are performing it? :hmm: From my limited knowledge as a former community theater participant, I believe it was something like if you are talking about the character of Macbeth, it is ok, but if you say the name of the play it is not. I could be completely wrong though. ...

Re: FULL[PLAY] Belinda: an April Folly, by A.A. Milne - thw

I have finished PLing Act 1! Everybody did such a wonderful job, very fun to listen to. And you definitely took a lot of work upon yourself in the editing. I was not expecting to hear every single stage direction, but props to you for putting in the extra work. I have a decent amount of notes, most ...
