10:30 slight stumble (please remove opening s) - Pretty soon the vessel sailed. That was a cute story. Thank you for reading it. Thanks for pointing that out. Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread
My recordings are turning out with the volume being too low. I have the microphone slider all the way to the right. I noticed that there is a Gain slider to the left of the waveform. It is set at the center. Should I nudge it a bit to the right? Will that help my volume?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Jr Classics vol6, Old Fashioned Tales by Various- jo
Thanks for the video link. That was helpful. Do you know if, on the first slider bar in the Audio Track section (under the "mute" and "solo" buttons) if I should move that slider to the right to increase my volume? I have made the changes to my audio file and reuploaded the file....

I have uploaded section 5. Since I'm new, I'll wait to hear about this before I record the second section I claimed.

Re: [GROUP] A Traveler from Altruria by William Dean Howells-ag
I have already completed my one-minute test. I'm thinking, to make sure I have everything set, I should start with a children's story with short chapters. So, put my request on hold for now. Once I get through a short chapter, I'll come back and request a chapter from this book.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks!

I'd like to claim a chapter. This would be my first project. I need to clear up some settings issue with my 1-minute test, but then I'd be ready to do this. I can take whatever chapter you'd like me to do.

My mother is 90 years old and has recently lost much of her vision making it impossible for her to read--one of her greatest joys. I have gotten her hooked up with audio books she can check out from t...
