Re: [SOLO] Catriona by Robert Louis Stevenson - m8b1

Thank you Tricia,

I can't believe I messed up like that on the file name. This is my 13th submission, so you would think I should be getting the hang of it. OH!! That's it..it was the THIRTEENTH! :hmm:

Re: [SOLO] Catriona by Robert Louis Stevenson - m8b1

OK, here is the first chapter: https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/catriona_01_stevenson.128kb_.mp3 Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/589 Duration: 18:41 So do I insert the "listen URL" in the MW? If so, since it is just one book with only one URL, do I put it in for each Chapter? This is my ...

[SOLO] Catriona by Robert Louis Stevenson - m8b1

Catriona by Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894) . This is a sequel to Kidnapped. Many thought Kidnapped ended quite abruptly. The reason is Stevenson planed on writing a sequel. Catriona takes up the story of David Balfour on the same day Kidnapped ends. He must now try to clear his name and the n...

Re: Where do certain kinds of projects go

The one that really caught my eye was FDR's "Day of Infamy" speech. There were also many other speeches and even books printed during and after WWII that were listed. Being new, I though that the category you listed was for 'stories' not speeches, but that does answer my question . :) Thanks a lot. ...

Where do certain kinds of projects go

As I was browsing through Gutenberg.org, I found some interesting items. Some of them were speeches, even ones in the 1940's and newer that are evidently in the PD . Under what "category" would these fall? Some are quite short, but very important from a historical and educational perspective. I assu...

Re: Short Story Collection Vol. 78 - lt

This may sound kind of silly, but to be protected by 'copyright" laws, wouldn't something have to be "copyrighted"? If it wasn't submitted to the US Copyright Office, wouldn't it, by default, not be covered by copyright law and thus be in the Public Domain?

Re: Short Story Collection Vol. 78 - lt

I found a story at this website: https://americanliterature.com/ The author lived from 1644-1694 That would seem to cover everything, but the story was originally written in Japanese. This comment is at the bottom of the page: Note Well: some of the arcane words that were used in the original Englis...

Re: (Open) Children's Short Works, Vol. 027 - m8b1

First I would like to thank Colleen for pointing me to Katherine Pyle's Tales of Wonder and Magic . There are some wonderful stories in there. :D I selected "The Demon of the Mountain" from that volume. Re: Short Story Collection Vol. 78 - lt

I just saw your return post. Yes, I know it didn't fit here, but we were talking about PD stuff, and I knew you would know the answer. Thanks for telling me about the scan possibility. I have already submitted one to the poetry collection, and I think I will go over there and add this new one as wel...
