I'm not sure what the problem is. The original recording is now blank but it is not being replaced by the new recording.

Everyone is being so helpful but Imust admit to becoming very frustrated at my own ineptitude.

I had to redo my test. Every time I upload the new test there is nothing on it. It seems like I get the URL for my original test. What am I doing wrong?

I got it working. I shut Audacity down then reopened it and everything works.

I have 3 choices under that tab. The sound card on my computer - Realtec 97AC Audio, the Logitec USB Headset or Microsoft Sound Mapper - Output,
Which would you choose? The headset is what I have selected and it is not working.

This is weird. I bought a Logitec USB headset. I connected it, tested it and it works! I recorded my test recording on my Sansa Fuze, I played it through the headset after I loaded it to my computer. I then imported it into Audacity. It plays through my computer speakers - not the headset. I checked...

Thank you to every one who has replied. I got some good ideas and some things I really had not thought of or about. Once I get my Audacity skills a bit more polished (read I'm totally lost) I'll get my test recording done.
